GALERIA 18 is a vibrant gallery for upcoming and established artists. It is a welcoming space where all are invited to explore art, join courses, and make connections over a cup of coffee.
a curator with a vision
Karen Dulong, curator and founder of Galeria 18, has created a gallery that balances aesthetics with depth and relevance.
Growing up with art and entrepreneurship as a natural part of her life, she brings a passionate approach to her exhibitions. Karen is dedicated to creating platforms for upcoming artists, fostering connections between their work and a broader audience.
Through her careful curation, the gallery also offers collectors the opportunity to invest in promising talent at the beginning of their artistic journey.
NEXT UP - MARCH 18
On March 18, the exhibition God Bless the Ugly Children opens at GALERIA 18 - four years after the publication of Haidar Ansari’s debut poetry collection "Institutionaliseret", written during his incarceration.
In this exhibition, the poems become part of 10 works created in collaboration between Haidar Ansari and artist Tobias Anker Simonsen (T.Anker), where
cultures, practices and forms of expression merge. The exhibition focuses on
not fitting in; and the cost of belonging.
Tobias Anker works with abstraction and chaos, often directly with his hands and recycled materials, allowing the process to remain visible in the work.
Haidar Ansari’s poetry draws from class experience and social structures and is marked by a precise and insistent voice that, in this exhibition, becomes part
of the works themselves.
In connection with the opening, GALERIA 18 is raising funds for children in Gaza via the Røde Kors. From now until the opening, visitors can enter a raffle to win a numbered and signed poster by donating 50 DKK per entry. Unlimited entries are available.
